BOARD OF DIRECTORS

At this time, the Board of Directors will have its first meeting on July 15^th, 2004 in Nice, France. Elections for the Board of Directors and initiation of the association will take place at that meeting.

Lars Hinrichs President Open BC	Lars Hinrichs is the President of OpenBC, a business social networking site with a strong presence in Europe.
Brad Hogg CEO Vintacom Media Group, Inc.	Brad Hogg is co-owner and CEO of Vintacom Media Group Inc. University of Alberta Computer Engineering Graduate, Brad’s passion for technology and a keen understanding of the Internet led to the development of the very successful Dreammates.com in 1999. Under Brad’s leadership and direction, Vintacom went on to develop the Relationship Exchangea sophisticated platform to support a large consortium of Partner dating sites. In January 2003, Vintacom was named the fastest growing company in Alberta and as well, Brad was nominated as a finalist in Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the year awards. Brad's leadership style, visionary direction and the goal to continually innovate has contributed to the rapid success of Vintacom. Company wide regular meetings where employees are encouraged to openly share their feelings and creative ideas contribute to a working culture based on having fun mixed with a focused work ethic...Brad’s principles of success. Brad is a member of West Edmonton Business Association (WEBA) and is a contributor to the Children's Miracle Network.
Michael Jones President Userplane, Inc.	Michael Jones is the Founder and President of Userplane, oversees the company's application and business strategy, focusing on the future of live communications through the development of web applications, where he has focused for more than three years. Prior to founding Userplane, Jones was CEO of PBJ Digital, a national web development agency with clients ranging from Disney to Boeing. Mr. Jones has been a keynote speaker at the at Flash-Related conferences and events. He also serves as an advisor for a number of growing web communities. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Marketing from the University of Oregon.
Meir Strahlberg CEO Date.com	As CEO of Date.com (a private company founded in 1997 that is headquartered in New York), Meir Strahlberg sets forth the strategic and creative vision of the company and ensures its successful growth and profitability. Strahlberg manages the daily operations of the company, monitoring the development of its main technical applications, with an emphasis on overseeing all financial, marketing and new business initiatives. An on-line pioneer, Strahlberg, 33, is one of the country’s leading web entrepreneurs. Prior to founding Date.com, Strahlberg was a marketing consultant for a number of Internet companies. No stranger to the dating industry, Strahlberg was one of the forefathers of International Audiotex. Launched in 1992, the International Audiotex telephone dating services preceded on-line dating, and introduced millions of singles in over 30 countries. Strahlberg, who holds a BA degree in Marketing and Advertising from Baruch College, has been cited as an expert in numerous leading industry publications in the areas of online dating, branding and e-commerce. Re-launched on Valentine’s Day, 2000 as a subscription service, Date.com was soon profitable and has remained so ever since.
Eric Straus President Cupid.com, Inc.	Mr. Straus is currently Founder and President of Cupid.com, Inc., a national online dating site. He is also the Founder and President of RegionalHelpWanted.com, Inc., which builds and maintains 250 local job boards and a national online dating site. From 1989 to 2000 Mr. Straus was President of Straus Media Group. During his tenure his firm had purchased, combined, grew and managed a group of 10 radio stations with 50 employees in the New York region. He managed to grow the stations’ value by a factor more than 20 times. From 1987 to 1989 he was Senior Vice President of the M&A investment bank Henry Ansbacher, Inc. He had arranged and brokered the sale of 14 media companies. Other company experience includes manager postions at WMCA Radio, KADX FM Radio. Mr. Straus has a Bachelor of Arts from Yale University.
Mark Elderkin Founder and President Planet Out Partners, Inc.	Mark Elderkin is the Founder and President at Planet Out Partners, which runs Gay.com, the largest online gay dating community on the internet.
Morton Wagner Founder and Director of Marketing Dating.Dk	Morton Wagner is the Co-Founder and Director of Marketing of Dating.dk, the largest online dating community in Scandanavia. In addition, Mr. Wagner handles the marketing for the sites www.dating.se (Sweden), www.dating.no (Norway) and www.dating.co.uk (United Kingdom). The constant focus on innovation and customer needs has brought the site in Denmark to the biggest in Scandinavia, and an aggressive growth in the rest of Europe. Morten Wagner, started online dating in Scandinavia in 1998, and has successfully marketed the site www.dating.dk, to be one of the strongest brands in Denmark, with more than 10 % of all Danes registered on the site. This is primarily done though more than 200 events nationwide.
Marc Lesnick President Ticonderoga Ventures, Inc.	Mr. Lesnick currently serves as Acting Chairman of the Board for Idea Oasis and is the individual involved with formation of the association. Currently he is President of Ticondeorga Ventures, the firm that runs the Internet Dating Conference, as well as other conferences related to internet e-commerce. Mr. Lesnick is also the President of Yorktown Ventures, Inc., a firm that operates nich-oriented web sites. He had various management positions within the chemical industry, including: Dead Sea Bromine Corporation, Continental Industries Group and International Specialty Products (formerly GAF Chemical Corporation). He has a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the State University of New York at Stony Brook.

The Board of Directors will be 9-15 members in total and will act to serve in the best interest for needs of the online dating and social networking community. Those interested in serving on the Acting Board of Directors should e-mail us. Include your resume and a one page description on your area of concern/interest within the online dating and social networking industry. Please note that elections for the Board of Directors takes place on July 15^th, 2004 in Nice France.

Also at at the Nice 2004 event, will be the set up of an Advisory Board to advise the Board of Directors on trends in technology, demographic and social trends, industry impacts. Those also interested serving on the Advisory Board should e-mail us. Include your resume and a one page description on your area of expertise.
